Officine Universelle Buly Rive Droite
After walking through a door under two spherical crystal pendant lights, the visitor notices drawers, shelves and displays running up the walls almost absurdly to be embedded in the narrow coffers on the ceiling. Facing it, Le Grand Café Tortoni, yesterday a highlight of the Chaussée d’Antin neighbourhood, is now adorned with a Flanders marble counter. Set like a Parthenon, the back counter is covered with antique tableware, coffee equipment, and various marble delicacies. Saintonge store is a place with a strong history. Established in 1874, the ancient foundry Rudier created mastepieces for Bourdelle, Maillol and even Rodin’s famous “Thinker”.
