At once a school, an oenological and viticultural research laboratory, and a grafting station, Fort Chabrol is part of the UNESCO’s World Heritage List since 2015.

Founded in 1900, the “Ecole pratique de Viticulture Moët & Chandon”, which also housed a research laboratory in viticulture and oenology, was quickly renamed “Fort Chabrol”. This site is included in the list of 14 emblematic Champagne hillsides, houses and cellars added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 2015. Fort Chabrol played an important role in the fight against phylloxera and in training winegrowers in correct practices. The site thus symbolizes resilience and has been chosen for the impactful launch of the Maison’s Biodiversity program “Natura Nostra”.
