Le Bon Marché – Department store
The skylights are an essential feature of this architecture and were designed to let light into the store.
The architect Louis-Charles Boileau and the engineer Gustave Eiffel designed this unique department store, combining unconventionality and elegance, displaying a singular style influenced by the creative vitality of Paris’ Rive Gauche. Here, discovery and amazement are still the foundations of a way of life that transforms shopping into an Art de Vivre. As part of the store’s 170th anniversary, Les Journées Particulières are the occasion for Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche to offer a unique and unprecedented experiential program.
